Years later, Shawn's frequent tips to the police lead to him being falsely accused of a crime he solved. Now, Shawn has no choice but to use his abilities to perpetuate his cover story: psychic crime-solving powers, all the while dragging his best friend, his dad, and the police along for the ride.

They barge inside looking for an explanation and are surprised to find one of the Lodge members lying dead before them. Shawn suspects murder, and in order to conduct an inside investigation, he becomes a member of the society.

Shawn is then brought in on the case, and he declares that the mummy was not stolen, iit walked away on its own.

However, the SWAT team soon shows up, and its negotiator will not easily satisfy Shawn's request.
